Jóhanna Gísladóttir ÍS 7

Jóhanna Gísladóttir is a 450-ton steel ship, the largest long-liner in Iceland. It was previously named Seley H 381 and was purchased at the beginning of 2005 from Íshaf in Húsavík. Íshaf had acquired it at their launch, which coincided with Eskifjörður joining the company. When in Eskifjörður the ship was called Helga Þorkelsdóttir SU 211 but was originally built in 1969 at Akranes for the town of Patreksfjörður. At that time it was Helga Guðmundsdótir BA 77. Jóhanna Gísladóttir was overhauled for long-line fishing during the summer of 2005.


Kristín GK 157

Is a 250-ton multi-fishing steel ship built in 1965, in Germany and at that time was named Þorsteinn RE 303. The ship was purchased by Hornafjörður in 2003 and renamed Garðey SF 22. Largely it was operated as a long-line ship with a baiting machine. 


Páll Jónsson GK 7

Is a 350-ton steel ship, built in Holland during 1967 and was named Örfirisey RE. The ship was purchased in 1999 from Dalvík, by B. G. Ben and was then know as Arnþór EA 116. Primarily the ship operated a ring net and a tow-net until it was converted into a long-line ship after its acquisition.


Hrungnir GK 50

Is a 200-ton steel ship, built in Norway during 1964. In the year 1979 Vísir purchased a 2/3 share in Hrungnir together with Ólafur R. Sigurðsson, who subsequently sold his share in 1985. Hrungnir was originally called Bjarmi II, and was operated from Dalvík. He is now operated as a long-line ship with a baiting machine.


Sighvatur GK 57

Is a 230-ton steel ship purchased in February 1982 from The Development Cooperation of Iceland. Sighvatur was originally called Bjartur and operated from Neskaupstaður. It was built in East Germany in 1965. Sighvatur is set up for long-line fishing with a baiting machine.
