The Djúpivogur factory produces salted split fish (mostly cod, bacalao) and fillets. Around 4.000 tons are processed annually. Salted tusk-fillets have also been produced in Djúpivogur. In the fall of 2005 salmon processing was started for Salar Islandica. 10-15 tons are processed per day, 2-5 days a week. Djúpivogur has 50 employees.
