Fresh fish

Fresh fish is mainly processed in Húsavík and Djúpivogur, but there is also a smaller operation in Thingeyri.

Fresh portions

The Húsavík plant produces portions that are sent by air- and seafreight to markets in Europe and North America.  

Fresh fillets

The Djúpivogur plant produces whole fillets for fresh fish markets in Europe and North America. The fillets are either with or without skin, with bones or boneless and of various sizes and weights.

Headed cod

Some headed fish, called cod blond, has been exported. Only cod is used for this purpose.
